The Big Idea

An audience catches the speaker's energy before it weighs the argument. Find the part of your subject that genuinely moves you and build the talk around it, not around what you think you are supposed to say.

Most work presentations are given out of duty: the quarterly update, the project review. The audience can hear the duty. Finding the one part you care about changes how every other part sounds.
