Erin Morgenstern is an American novelist and visual artist whose debut The Night Circus grew out of National Novel Writing Month and became a word-of-mouth bestseller in 2011. Known for lush, atmospheric fantasy that reads like a spell, she followed it with the equally intricate The Starless Sea.
