J.M. Barrie

J.M. Barrie was a Scottish novelist and playwright who created Peter Pan, the boy who would not grow up, first for the London stage in 1904 and then as a novel. He gave the copyright and ongoing royalties to Great Ormond Street Hospital for children, a gift that still supports it today.
