Betty Friedan

Betty Friedan was an American writer and activist whose 1963 book The Feminine Mystique named 'the problem that has no name' and helped ignite second-wave feminism. A co-founder and first president of the National Organization for Women, she became one of the most consequential figures of the twentieth-century women's movement.
