Isaac Asimov was one of the most prolific authors in history, writing or editing some 500 books across science fiction and popular science. He devised the Three Laws of Robotics and, in the Foundation series, imagined psychohistory, a mathematics of predicting the future of civilizations, that has influenced everyone from economists to fellow novelists.
