Neal Stephenson is a maximalist novelist of ideas whose Snow Crash coined the term Metaverse and whose Cryptonomicon and Baroque Cycle blend history, cryptography, and speculative science. A former adviser to Blue Origin and Magic Leap, he is as influential among technologists as among science fiction readers.
