How the road works
A goal in. A road out. One Station a day.
BookYol does not summarise books. It takes the ideas that matter for one goal, puts them in the right order, and hands you one five-minute Station every day — with something to do before tomorrow.
Choose a destination
Not a book — a goal. “Master negotiation.” “Get control of my money.” BookYol picks the six books that actually cover it and routes you through them in the order the ideas build on each other.
Ride one Station a day
Five minutes: one big idea, why it matters today, a real-life scene, two or three practical tips, one action for today, and a short recall check. Small enough to never skip.
Remember, and become
Every Station ends with an Insight you can save. Memory brings the ideas back right before you would forget them, and your progress shows what you are becoming, not how many pages you read.
Anatomy of a Station
Every Station on every road has the same eight parts, in the same order, so the habit forms fast.
- 1
The idea
One complete sentence you could repeat to a friend.
- 2
Why now
Why this Station, today — the hook that makes it worth five minutes.
- 3
The explanation
Four or five short paragraphs from the source book, in our words, with the book named.
- 4
Real life
A scene from a Turkish workplace, home or street where the idea shows up.
- 5
Tips
Two or three things to try, specific enough to do this week.
- 6
Today's action
One checkable thing to do before tomorrow. The road is built on these.
- 7
Recall
Two or three questions. A wrong answer re-explains; it never punishes.
- 8
The Insight
The one line to keep. Save it, share it, see it again in Memory.
The shape of a road
- Twelve Stations, one a day, from six books. Each Station has one main book and one it borrows from, so the ideas talk to each other.
- Milestones at Station 6 and Station 12: something real to have done, not a badge. On the money road, for example, Station 6 ends with your savings moving automatically on payday.
- Station 1 of every road is open to everyone, with no sign-up. One whole road is free end to end. Premium opens every road.
- Set your pace on Build My Yol: one Station a day, or two if you are in a hurry. Miss a day and your streak survives once a week; miss two and it starts over, honestly.
Memory, and the daily email
Memory is spaced review. The Insights you save come back at growing intervals — a day, a few days, a couple of weeks — right before you would have lost them. Real recall, not re-reading.
If you have an account, one email arrives every morning at seven, Istanbul time, with your next Station: the idea, today's action, your streak and one link. Switch it off on your Me page any time, or from the link in the email.
What is free, what is Premium
- Free: Station 1 of every road, the whole free road, streaks, missions, saved Insights, Memory, and the daily email.
- Premium: every road as the library grows, audio on the narrated roads, and priority on new Yols. One price, cancel in one click.
Questions
- Do I need to have read the books?
- No. Each Station teaches the idea from the book in our own words and names the book, so you can go to the source when one of them earns it. Many people buy the one book that changed something for them.
- Is this a summary app?
- No. A summary makes a book shorter. A Yol makes a goal reachable: it picks the ideas that matter for one destination, from several books, in order, and asks you to do one thing a day. The reading is the smallest part.
- How long does a road take?
- Twelve days at one Station a day; six at the focused pace. The milestones are real actions, so the road is finished when they are, not when the last page is.
- Is it in Turkish?
- Every Station, every page and the app are in Turkish and English. The scenes in the Stations are Turkish on purpose. Two roads are narrated in both languages, and more are being recorded.
- What happens when I finish a road?
- The last Station points to the next road that builds on it, or back to Build My Yol for a new destination. Your Insights and Memory carry over.
